What is SMSHosting.it?
SMSHosting.it is a “pay-per-use” SMS gateway which allows to send and receive SMSes in the mobile phone network in Italy and in other 138 nations in the world. Direct connections with main GSM providers enable to realize a saving on the unit cost of each SMS, if compared with a normal mobile phone sending, and to realize mobile applications usable from any device with an internet access.

How can the gateway be accessed?
To have access to the SMS gateway, it is sufficient to:
• Create an account in the registration section
• Log into your account in the log-in section
• Subscribe your favorite SMS Package in the purchasing section
• Finalize the payment with requested data visualized both in the web page of order confirmation and in the confirmation email that arrives to the address specified in the registration phase
• In the same moment that administrative offices receive the payment confirmation, a new mail will inform you on service and credit activation and you will be immediately able to start sending SMSes.

To guarantee maximum transparency and easiness in the SMS sending, on SMSHosting.it doesn’t exist any monthly fee, activation contribution, binding minimum purchase or buyback: the unique cost is that of the purchased SMS package. In this way, obtained investment and saving are immediately known, this enabling anyone to focus on the success of applications and avoiding the waste of time necessary to defend yourself against the more and more frequent “hidden costs”.

When the SMS credit or the purchased service features will be activated, the system will send a confirmation email to the address specified in the registration phase.

How long purchased SMSes will be valid?
Purchased SMS packages have a one-year validity as from the date of the last purchase you made. This means that each purchase you make will extend your account validity (and so that of your SMSes) for other 12 months. An email message alerts account owners about SMSes validity expiration 15 days before it falls, obviously without any renewal obligation.

How can I obtain the invoice for purchased SMS services?
Invoices for purchased SMS packages or for requested additional optional services will be available for download directly from SMSHosting.it control panel 5 days after service activation.

To visualize all of your orders and all available invoices you can simply select the “Orders History” voice from your account. The “Download” link allows you to download each invoice in pdf format.

How can I send purchased SMSes on SMSHosting.it?
SMSHosting.it SMS gateway can be utilized in 3 main ways:
• HTTP: when you log-in with your registration data to www.SMShosting.it, the SMS sending function is immediately available, in single or multiple dispatching and in instant or delayed mode. It is also available a phone book in which you can store all of your contacts, even grouping them in dispatching lists.
• HTTP (2): by using SMSSpot and SMSList features, it is possible respectively to integrate the SMS sending module in your own website and realize an innovative newsletter via SMS.
• HTTP (3): server-to-server http connection

How can I enable users to send SMS directly from my websites?
With any of our SMS packages, three sending functions are available for your users or visitors. SMSSpot function automatically generates a script that have to be inserted in the code of a page of the site. The SMSList function allows to realize a newsletter via SMS, letting you to subscribe or unsubscribe users directly from your website. Therefore, no technical knowledge is needed to use these two functionalities.

Finally, the email2SMS function allows to realize any web application to be integrated with the SMS system. SMS messages, indeed, are sent simply generating an email message, even to be sent to multiple addressees at the same time.

How can I utilize the email2SMS service?
The email2SMS service can be used without additional fees in any of our SMS packages and allows to send SMS messages to one or more addressees from any email client program (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Mail, etc.) or from any website that uses typical mail objects of the web environment (cdonts, cdosys, jmail, persist, sendmail, etc.).

In both cases there are particularly interesting advantages: it is possible to use contacts or groups directly from your pc email client or even existing databases or GSM numbers lists for the website.

How many characters can I use with the email2SMS service?
The email2SMS function has been designed to enable the use of all expected 160 characters of a normal SMS. The message text must be typed in the email body. The mobile phone number for the message addressee can be inserted both in the To: field and in the Cc: field.

What is the maximum number of SMSes that can be dispatched at the same time?
The dedicated queue structure provided by SMSHosting.it doesn’t limit the number of concurrent addressees for a single message. Once that SMSes are given to the system, SMS are dispatched to the various GSM providers. From the statistics section it is possible to check in real time the result of each single sending, even filtering the view by using available search utilities.

I forgot username or password for service access: how can I retrieve them?
For security and technical reasons, SMSHosting.it stores any password as encrypted. Therefore, if necessary, it is possible to request a new password in the “Remember password” section. The system will send you automatically a new password to the registered email address. After this step, it will be always possible to modify your password from the profile section of your account.

How and in which modes can I exercise my right of withdrawal?
As requested by the D.lgs. (Order in Council) 185/1999, the customer can withdraw without any penalty and without specifying any reason, within 10 working days from the date of service activation. The customer cannot exercise his right of withdrawal if he starts service utilization before the expiration of the term of 10 days as provided by the art. 5 comma 1 del D.lgs. 185/1999.
